If you aren’t the Snapchatting type and haven’t been attuned to the more social-media driver spheres in the golf media space, let us tell you, Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth, Smylie Kaufman, and Justin Thomas are having one heck of time vacationing in the Bahamas.

To see what the millennial pros have been up to, and to see the range of WRXers opinions are on the boys’ trip, check out this thread.

Tiger-Jack

User Railroading13 kicked off this thread regarding how to assemble a Voltron-esque supergolfer with these component parts:

  • Driving and off the tee – Greg Norman
  • Long approach game – Tiger
  • Short approach game – Phil
  • Scrambling – Seve
  • Putting – Ben Crenshaw
  • Mental game – Tiger

How many elements are there to the the supergolfer? Who should make up those parts?

Site founder, Rich Audi, posted this awesome thread. Rich golfs with his 74-year-old father every Friday that he can, and it looks like he got pops on Trackman.

To see what Rich found, and how he fit his dad for a better driver, check out this very cool thread.

And 92 mph swing speed at age 74? Impressive stuff!

“Spiething” it

Bogeypro started this thread with the comment that he fatted a pitched wedge and his partner said he’d “Spiethed” it. We’d argue, as SteelPride did, that a more precise definition of “Spiething” it is in order.

As he said, “Did the same today and my brother said the same. I did though; didn’t finish the swing with a wedge and it leaked right and short….Anyone that plays golf seriously has hit that shot before and it sucks. It’s a deadly miss. You almost can’t believe you can hit a wedge 12 yards short.”

Yay or nay on the addition to the poor golf shot lexicon? Let us know what you think.

Your golfing superstition

How deep does the rabbit hole of golf-related neuroticism go among WRXers? Check out this thread.

Some truly great stuff, like these comments from golfinray

“I have to have two orange tees and 4 quarters in my left pocket. I swear it throws my balance off if I don’t. Plus if you use a pink tee you will hit it in the woods every time.”

Add you superstitions to the list and be consoled that you’re not as crazy as you think in this thread.
