In our forums, our members have been speculating on the possibility of Anthony Kim appearing in the Saudi Super League. WRXer ‘ButterySnapHook’ touted the idea in our forums, saying:
“The best wildcard move the Saudis could make is offering Anthony Kim an absurd amount of money to come out of retirement and play. That would guarantee a lot of viewership around the world. Even after all these years people still talk about AK. Someone get them on the phone!”
Kim has not played competitive golf in a decade, and our members have been discussing the chances of a stunning comeback in the future.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- miamistomp: “Most people don’t even know who he was anymore.”
- liongolf_ike: “AK still has game. I know a number of guys who have played with him since his “retirement”, and he still has it. Just cannot compete until the insurance is paid out.”
- Notashank: “He’s been out of golf so long it’s way over for him. He could play but competing is out of the question.”
- mosesgolf: “If AK plays I’m watching.”
- ButterySnapHook: “That $10M in insurance not to play is peanuts compared to what the Saudis could give him to play the SGL. I wonder what the number would have to be.”
