What Are The Best Golf Course Logos?
Epeyt writes: “I’ve been searching for the best golf course logos. Aside from the obvious, (Winged Foot, Seminole, Whistling Straits), what else are everyone’s favorite logos?”
Fantastic discussion of some of the game’s graphical finery. See the thread.
The Grippiest Grips
When it comes to our golf grips, we all have different preferences. Some golfers are looking for a grip akin to flypaper. For those of you so inclined, this is your thread. See the thread.
Favorite Putter Grip?
Continuing the grip theme, much like the putter is the most personal and subjectively selected club in the bag, the grip you put on said putter is also of paramount importance and the subject of much deliberation.
If you too have been on a “putter grip quest” like the author of this thread, you’ll want to join the discussion. See the thread.
The Great Wedding Band Debate
Ring or no ring when playing golf? Or do you even have a choice? For many of us, coming home from the golf course sans ring would result in a wifely bludgeoning with our own golf clubs.
Some husbands, however, have more choice in the matter. And for those men, there’s apparently much to debate. See the thread.
The Craziest Par-3 You’ve Ever Played
Golfnut9922 writes of an outrageous par-3 in his neck of the woods.
“#14 par 3 from the Blues 130 ish yards, from the tips 263 yards. It is a long par 3 and I think it is a bit much. You have to hit thru a 20 yards corridor thru the trees, and the underbrush has not been cut in a long time. You cannot see the green or the flagstick from the tee box.”
“So if you make it thru the trees you have to carry a pond about 30 yards short of the green. So a good poke is needed to clear it all, there is a little bail out to the right if you slice one a bit. Between the pond and the green there is also a big bunker to the left of the green.”
Have a wild par-3 that can top the above? Join the thread.
