In our forums, our members have been discussing inexpensive drivers. WRXer ‘MikeSip’ is looking to upgrade on his 2011 TM RBZ driver and our members have been sharing what they feel are the best low-cost drivers currently available.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • aquapig: “ST190 done.”
  • XHoop24: “There are so many good ones out there that can be found at a reasonable price these days. Some good ones have been listed above – LTD is a cult classic. Some others I like are listed below: Ping G25 and G400 Max/LST. Epic Sub Zero. TM M3. Srixon 785 – my current gamer and used ones on the BST can be had very reasonably with great stock shafts.”
  • Titleist84: “Taylormade M2 2016.”
  • jbrunk: “The only reason to give RBZ black a look is if you prefer titanium over carbon (which, of course, is all the rage now). If that’s not an issue, but you’re sticking with Taylormade, go for a nice used M4 ($150-200) or M6 ($200-250). The best value on the used market right now is Callaway Rogue. As stated above, properly fit 1-2 year old Cobra, and Mizuno drivers should perform as well or better than your RBZ. Another good performing, budget-conscious drivers worth a look include Cleveland Launcher HB or Tour Edge EXS.”
  • Boricua Golf: “Ping G series are fairly inexpensive with good shafts as well.”
  • Sgidurango: “You can buy brand new Cobra F9 drivers for $250. Awesome driver!”
