In our forums, GolfWRXers have been discussing Bryson DeChambeau’s body transformation, which has led to astounding distance gains. DeChambeau showed off his increase in power this week, at times dismantling Colonial CC averaging over 340 yards off the tee.
The 26-year-old is two shirt sizes bigger than when we last saw him and has put on three stone inside nine months, and our members have been discussing his power gains which were on show over the weekend.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- Holy Moses: “Interesting how some pros purposely gained weight during the pandemic, while others lost weight. Yet both players (Bryson and Gary) both played well.”
- LeoLeo99: “Man, if Bryson could have made some putts, he would have been close to the 50s. Seems like every time I looked, he was putting for birdie from 10 feet and missing.”
- Gmack1973: “Paul McGinley on Sky saying that DeChanbeau is using a 5-degree driver and thinking about a 10 degree 3 wood going into the bag!!”
- Redjeep83: “Yea, he gained a good amount of fat. I would say prob 30-40% muscle and 60-70% fat gained. That’s just what happens when you do it fast like he did, but generally, the more you weigh, the stronger you are.”
- chipa: “He has probably gained 15 pounds of muscle, which isn’t so bad for a big guy. I like his swing and how he turns out his left foot when he goes after it. It really saves the knee, and I’ve seen a lot of good players do it like Nicklaus, Palmer etc. Tiger probably should have done it more.”
