In our forums, our members have been discussing the best fairway finders currently on the market. WRXer ‘spartyjeff’ has some upcming tournaments to play, and kicks off the thread saying:
“I have a few local tournaments coming up and I admittedly have always struggled with fairway woods. I need to build a club for an easy to hit, confidence inspiring fairway finder. I have gone the 42” Ping Max driver before and that actually went well then go straight into 2i. Nerves will be high but ideally an easy to hit fairway wood with deep face that I can cut down to play shorter would be better.
Looking for suggestions because I haven’t even hit fairway woods in a while because I’ve never really needed them. Don’t even mention hybrids because that is hook city. I am open to old school clubs too. I even have a cobra SZ hypersteel on the way,”
And our members have been sharing their top picks in our forum.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- sm_watts: “The couple of years old Cleveland Launcher XL Halo fairway is just this for me. I very large head for a 3 wood, deep, and easy to keep in the fairway. I didn’t jive with the Cypher shaft in it, but an old UST Elements shaft is a perfect fit for me.”
- wam78: “Stealth HL, especially if you can find a tour issue head that sits open to square. A little larger head and super easy to hit off the tee. And really hot off the face.”
- NardDog: “I have a G410 3-wood that acts as my fairway finder. I think it’s the most trusted club in my bag and I don’t think I’ll get rid of it for a very long time.”
