In our forums, our members have been discussing game-changing equipment. WRXer ‘NoTalentLeft’ asks members the equipment, whether it be a brand, club, shaft, ball, or grip, that revolutionized their game – and our members have been sharing what it was for them.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • Valtiel: “A really good rangefinder.”
  • ohioglfr: “Adams woods and hybrids.”
  • Bigarch: “Ping Eye 2 irons. Precept MC Spin Golf Ball. Mizuno Wide Body Driver.”
  • hoosier84: “For me, it was a Ping G driver that played 44.5” with its Ping Tour 65 shaft. Was playing a 45.75” G20 before that. It took a couple weeks but ended up being much more consistent with it. Probably more of the shorter shaft than anything, but it made golf much more fun.”
  • hagimihale: “Cobra Baffler Pro 18* hybrid. Stayed in my bag for 10 years. 240+ off the tee with a baby draw. Learned low punches to get out from under trees. 3/4 draws and fades (or hooks/slices) to get around doglegs and when I was in the rough. Fairway bunkers. Low, running chips. I used that club everywhere. Still have it (I’ll never sell it). Rangefinder – using a Bushnell Tour V3 that I bought 4 or 5 years ago. Knowing exact distances to the pin (or the trouble spot) was a game-changer.”
  • Fuscinator: “Finding a putter I liked. All those offset putters drove me nuts, so I putted with a 4iron. I got Wilson blade style putter, and it made a huge difference. I now use an old Callaway Tuttle, and it’s my favorite club.”
